Recently, I wrote a new poem called “Come Dine With Me”. I based it on an old Michael Card song that I love called “Come To The Table”. It’s all about coming to the table that God has prepared for us.
God’s table is one of forgiveness, unconditional love, and release from guilt because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross over 2,000 years ago. It’s a celebration of new life in Christ.
Come Dine With Me
Come dine with me, Let's have a great meal Of bread and wine And forgiveness for sin Come walk with me In the garden and by the sea We'll have a great talk Just you and me Come work with me side by side Let's see what we can do With a heart fully surrendered There's nothing we can't do Come join me in heaven We'll laugh and rejoice No more pain, death or disease With me forevermore. By Patricia Adderley
If you like this song by Michael Card you can get it on his Joy in the Journey album on Amazon.

God invites each one of us to Come to the table. He wants each one of us to come dine with him through the “bread of forgiveness and the wine of release” as Michael Card says in this song.
The bread is his body which he sacrificed on the cross and the wine is his blood which was spilled.
However, the good news is that He rose again conquering death and sin once and for all. So, we have a wonderful eternal home with Him in heaven after this life is done.
Conclusion
I pray that no matter what is going on in your life, that you will invite Him to Come to your table. In the same way that I have invited Him to “Come Dine With Me“, He will be with you always.
