My God is More Than Enough!

my god is more than enough

In any and every circumstance, I know that my God is more than enough. When I don’t believe that I am enough, I know that He is enough.

Recently, I struggled with confidence in myself and my abilities in a particular area. In my frustration, I let those feelings escalate to other areas. As a result, my frustration and self-doubt began to escalate. I got upset, cried and wore myself out. Then, I started to calm down and, in my spirit, I felt God whisper “I am enough”.
Whenever, I would say “I’m not enough in this circumstance”, I would hear those words “But, I am enough”.

My God is More Than Enough!
2 Corinthians 9:8

I Started to feel His peace once again and began to ponder those words and what they mean.

Here’s what I realized.

My God is More Than Enough

When I Am Weak

When I am weak, He is strong. My God is more than enough when I feel weak and unable to carry on. I don’t always have to rely on my own strength. He is my Father and He waits for me to turn to Him and let Him hold me and strengthen me.

I can’t tell you how many times I felt like I was too weak to go on. However, as I turned to God and just listened for His voice, He comforted me. He strengthened me and He will strengthen you as well.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”‘

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

There’s a song by Lauren Daigle called “You Say” ,which I’ve referred to in a previous post called “Can Music Help With Depression?”, that really helps me when I feel down. It’s a great reminder of who God is. You get on Amazon or view it on YouTube below.

When I Feel Like I Don’t Belong

Have you ever been in a room with a lot of other people and felt like an outsider?

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like you didn’t belong?

I know I have. However, God assures me that I will always belong to Him. My God is more than enough when I feel like I don’t belong because I am a part of His family.

I am his child and so are you. Jesus promised that “He would go and prepare a home for me” before He ascended to the Father. I never have to feel like I don’t belong in God’s Kingdom.

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”

Ephesians 2:19-21 NIV

In My Finances

Have you ever wondered how you were going to pay your rent or your bills?

How many of you are only one paycheck away from financial disaster?

I know what it feels like to wonder where the money is going to come from. It’s scary and a huge source of anxiety for many of us. However, once again my God is more than enough in my finances as well.

He promises in Malachai:

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,: says the Lord Almighty, :and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

Malachai 3:10 NIV

He also tells us to ask, seek and knock in Matthew.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened.”

Matthew 7:7-8 NIV

When I Need Wisdom

My God is more than enough when you need wisdom as well.

There’s a saying that “if you don’t ask, you won’t receive”. The same is true for wisdom.

How often have you been in a difficult situation and not known which direction to go or where to turn?

Everyone you know has different opinions which only confuse you more. One persons says to do this and another says you should do something else.

When you are in the midst of a hard time or difficult situation you often can only see the problem. However, if you just ask God, in faith, He will make the way clear.

Sometimes, the answer will come through other people and sometimes it may be through circumstances. Often, it also comes through listening to that still small voice of the Holy Spirit. He will speak to your heart if you just listen.

James 1:5-6

When Dealing With Grief and Loss

My God is more than enough when you are dealing with grief and loss.

When I lost my baby to a miscarriage, I didn’t think that I would ever get over the grief. I was angry and the pain was indescribable. Anyone who has lost a child, will understand. I was angry at God and felt betrayed.

However, God took all my anger and hurt and pain and comforted me. I felt Him just loving me and holding me as I cried out in anguish to Him.

It took some time, but I came to understand that even if I didn’t understand all the reasons for what happened, He knows what’s best. He will never leave me nor forsake me. He is right there with me.

My God is More Than Enough!
Proverbs 3:5-6

God understands my pain. His only son, Jesus, died a horrible death on the cross. God grieved the loss of His only son as well.

“The righteous call to the LORD, and he listens; he rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope.”

Psalm 34:17-18

When I Am Anxious

My God is more than enough when I am anxious or worried. He has all the answers I need.

Have you ever been anxious or worried about something? Perhaps, it was something outside of your control. From your perspective, you couldn’t see a way out. However, we can’t see the way God sees. He knows all things and already has a solution.

Learning to release control over the necessity of knowing everything isn’t easy but it is very freeing.

My God is More Than Enough
Matthew 11: 28-30

In life there are many things that are outside of my control, but God is always in control of every situation even if it doesn’t seem like it.

Some things are allowed to test our faith. Sometimes things happen because of the evil in this world. And, often times, we will never the reason why things happen.

The only thing we can really do is exercise our faith in the One who never changes. Trust Him. He is worthy of all our trust and will always be there for you.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6: 25-34

Conclusion

He has seen me through so many ups and downs in my life and I know that He can do the same for you as well.
