This past year has been very difficult for a lot of people. Finding a source of hope can be hard when you are going through hard times. Many have lost jobs, lost loved ones and more. And, perhaps, are still going through them. That’s why I wanted to share about my source of hope- Jesus Christ. No matter where you are at or what you are going through, He will always be there for you.
Below is a sample devotion, from my book Loving Jesus: A 30 Day Devotional and it focuses on the hope and peace that Jesus has for us, if we only look to him.

Hope – Psalm 33:18-22
“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.”
Psalm 33:18-22
Source of Hope
You give me hope Through Your Word Many promises that I can hold on to No matter how Dark things may seem, I know that I can trust in you. Your Holy Spirit Brings me peace. Guides me in prayer. Leads me. Gives me power over the darkness. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ. Wisdom through Your Word. You give me hope Where there is no hope. You make the impossible Possible. You are my strength When I am at my weakest. I sing Your praises When I want to cry or give up. And you strengthen me and Bring me Your peace once again. Forever You are "I Am". Forever I am Yours, Lord. Your humble servant. I rejoice in You Lord, My Savior, My God, My Fortress, My Shield, My Provider, My Father, Daddy God. By Patricia Adderley
Day 14 Devotion
There is only one source of hope in this world and that is Jesus Christ. He is the Living Word become flesh. Died for our sins and conquered death once and for all. He sent us the Great Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to help us in this life. God gives us everything we need in this life, if we ask. He is right there waiting for each one of us to seek him. Without God, there would be no world. We would not exist. If he removed his presence from this world, there would be no light at all, only darkness.
When we are weak, he is strong. He makes the impossible possible. He brings us peace in the midst of chaos. When I can’t go one more step, he carries me. It doesn’t matter how good or bad things might seem to me, even when I can’t see a way out of whatever circumstance I am facing, he makes a way. He looks after his children. Jesus is worthy of all hope and trust and love because he is love. He fulfills every promise. Worship him with all your heart and all your mind and let him be your hope today.
Day 14 Prayer
Father God, we thank you for hope through salvation and through Your Word. You are our all in all and give us hope when there would otherwise be no hope. Help us to look to you in every situation and trust that you have a plan no matter what things may look like. You are worthy, Lord, of all hope, trust, and praise. In Jesus name. Amen
