We survived Hurricane Ian. I’ve never been through a hurricane before, so, as you can imagine, I was a bit nervous.
Hurricane Ian
Now, a few of you know that I live in Florida and we just got done weathering Hurricane Ian. Where I was at, other than some very strong winds and a lot of rain as well as losing power, we managed to survive without injury. I thank God that it wasn’t worse.
This is a strong reminder to me, that no matter what we are facing, whether it is a hurricane or some other kind of storm, God is right there in the middle of it keeping you safe. You don’t have to give in depression, fears or anxiety. Just trust Him and He will see you through.
There’s song called Eye of the Storm by Ryan Peterson that I am reminded of. It is one of my favorites and it never ceases to encourage me when things get touch.
You can check out the article about it on my website here:

However, I was also inspired to write the following poem, which will also be featured in the new, full version of My Heart, Christ’s Home.
I hope if blesses you and serves as a reminder that no matter what you are going through, He will see you through.
The Storm Rages
The winds howl and rage outside But He keeps me safe in His arms. Joy still fills my heart For He keeps me from all harm. The waves rise higher and higher But He shields me on every side. The storm threatens to overcome me But He gives me peace inside. No storm shall prevail against me Because He loves me so. No matter how it looks He is always in control. By Patricia Adderley
Conclusion
I hope this blesses you. Whether you are facing an actual hurricane like Hurricane Ian or some other storm, God will always be there for you. He will shelter you and protect you and lead you through.
