You Are Secure In Christ

You Are Secure in Christ

When you place your faith in Jesus, you are secure in Christ. In the same you that you looked to your mother or father when you were little for your every need when you were hurt or just needed a hug, Jesus is there for you. He’s waiting for you with open arms.

You Are Secure in Christ

Hebrews 13:6 MEV says:

“So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”

Hebrews 13:6 MEV

No matter where you are at or what you are going through, God will always be there for you. There are so many promises in the Bible, that speak to the fact that You are secure in Christ. He will always be there for us. Among other promises, He says that He will never leave us, nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

He Knows Everything

Additionally, it says in Psalms 139:1-12:

“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.”

Psalms 139:1-12 NIV

God’s love is unconditional. He is a loving Father and wants to be there for us. No matter what is going on in your life, He knows your every thought and motive. He knows what you are going to say and do before you even do it. He is waiting for you to turn to him.

There isn’t anything you can do or say to keep God from loving you. We are secure in His unconditional love, mercy, and grace.

I will always be thankful that no matter how much I mess up, God still loves me and accepts me. So often, when we make mistakes other people hold those mistakes and sins against us. God doesn’t. That is why He sent Jesus- so that we could be forgiven and cleansed once and for all. We just have to turn to Him and accept it.

Conclusion

Often, when we think we have to earn God’s love it’s easy to think that God doesn’t care or that He is mad at us. It’s especially easy to believe those lies when things don’t seem to be going our way. However, His love for us isn’t based on performance but, simply, on His grace. You are secure in Christ and always will be when you accept Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior.
