God doesn’t waste our mistakes. He will work all things for good if you have faith in Him. What is impossible for us, is possible for God. Moreover, it’s hard for us to imagine any good coming from our sins, but with God all things are indeed possible.
God Doesn’t Waste Our Mistakes
It says in Romans,
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.”
Romans8:28-30
This scripture verse has always been one of my favorites. I always knew that no matter what I had done or what I was going through that He would turn it around for good. Also, even though I may not know how God could use my mistakes, I knew that I would be okay. I know that all of his promises are true. God never changes.
Focus on God Not the Problems
Additionally, when we are struggling, it’s easy to put the focus on the problem instead of on the solution- God. We aren’t able to see the same way that God does.
It says in Psalms,
“as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalms 103:12
He doesn’t remember them anymore. They are forgiven through the cleansing blood of Jesus on the Cross. So, if God can forgive us then why can’t we forgive ourselves or others?
Why is it that we are so much harder on ourselves than God is? We constantly rehash the past in our hearts and minds.
Inspirational Christian Singer- Carman
Satan would love to remind us of our past. But as the Christian Singer Carman once said, “Satan reminds of our past, but God reminds us of our future”
Carman died this past year after a long bout with cancer, but his legacy lives on in his music. He always put the gospel first and most of the time never charged for his concerts. He was a constant inspiration to me and I had the privilege to see him in concert several times and I heard him speak at my church as well.
Here are links for some of his music:
Conclusion
I find that it is often through the things we struggle with that God uses us to be a blessing to others. Looking back, I can see how God has used my mistakes to help me grow and to be a blessing to other people. He turns it around just like He said he would. God doesn’t waste our mistakes ever. He is constantly watching out for us and leading us as we submit to Him and let Him take the lead.
