self discovery writing prompts for adults

Today, I wanted to share some self discovery writing prompts for adults with you. I know this is a little different but I believe that it has a lot of value for you whether you enjoy writing, journaling or just want to find out more about yourself.

Personally, I’ve been journaling for over 30 years and, recently, I’ve been going back through some of my old journals and there is so much that I’ve been through- both good and bad- that I have forgotten. Some of the things I’ve discovered, I plan in using for future books, blog posts, and emails.

Why Self Discovery Writing Prompts For Adults?

A Reminder of God’s Miracles

They are also a reminder to me of just how much God has done in my life. So many little miracles and big miracles.

Self-Discovery Writing Prompts can help you remember many of those moments.

There is a quote I like that says “Learn from the past, plan for the future, but live in the present”.

I don’t want to live in the past, but I do believe that it is important to learn from the past so that we don’t make the same mistakes (another great quote).

Discover Who God Created You To Be

You can use them to find out more about who God created you to be and the purpose for which He created you.

God made each one of us unique from the color of our hair to the country we live in and our parents. The things we love to do and are passionate about as well as the things we are good at are no mistake. There are there for a reason.

Use Them For Your Books and Characters

If you like to write, you can use these self discovery writing prompts for your characters and the journey you want to take them on including character traits, experiences you want them to go through, people you want them to meet and the list goes on.

It will help to make your characters more 3-dimensional, real and interesting.

You may not realize it, but a lot of the things you have been through would work great for a book.
