Do you have a blessings list? I do. When life gets crazy, hard, and seems to be out of control, it’s hard to remember our blessings. However, it’s in the midst of our struggles that we need to remember our blessings the most.
Firstly, I find that remembering my blessings helps me to take my eyes off of myself and my problems and it puts the focus back on God where it belongs.
My List
This morning I decided to write down some of my blessings and I would like to share them with you. Additionally, I encourage you to share some of your blessings by commenting on this post.

These are only a few of my blessings. Whereas, there are many scriptures that speak about the blessings of God here are three that really help me.
Scriptures About Blessings
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water
Jeremiah 17:7-8
that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26
How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all,
Psalm 31:19
on those who take refuge in you.
Poem About Blessings
In addition to writing down my blessings this morning, I was inspired to write the following poem. Another thing that comes from remembering my blessings is that it helps me to hear the Lord better.
I pray that this poem will be a blessing to you.
Blessings
Thank you Lord That there is always something For which to be thankful The wind and the trees The ocean and the seas The birds and the frogs Little kittens and dogs Thank you Lord That your promises are true That you never change and Will always see us through Up and down On the mountain top And in the valley's You lead us and guide us Provide comfort and peace Always something to thank you for: Family and friends Food in the cupboard And a roof over my head Purpose and creativity Your love and mercy Thank you for bridging the gap Salvation most of all I will always worship you And thank you for this gift Of life and love And eternity ahead. Summary
I encourage you to write your own blessings list. It will help you in your relationship with God and help you get your focus back where it belongs- on Him. Additionally, I find that it turns my attitude around when I am feeling depressed or negative, I remember how many things I have to be thankful for. As previously mentioned, I encourage you to share a few of your own blessings here. You never know who it might bless.
