With Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to share a poem with you called “Gifts From Above”. We’ve all enjoyed Thanksgiving and taken advantage of at least one or two Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals which is great.
However, it’s important to remember that best and most important gifts of all come from above.
What are some of the gifts from above- from God -that you are thankful for?
Here’s a few that I am thankful for:
- My Salvation
- God’s love and faithfulness
- The Holy Spirit
- His Mercy and grace
- My husband
- Family and friends
- Sunrises and sunsets
- Ocean
- Beautiful flowers
- Delicious food
- Alex our cat
- Smiles and hugs
- Rainbows
It says in the Bible:
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
James 1: 17
Gifts From Above
So many gifts Are sent from above His mercy and grace And Sacrificial love. Forgiveness and Healing, Joy and laughter And purpose in living. The sound of singing birds And the laughter of a child Hugs and kisses From special people. And a smile from a stranger. Puppies and kittens at play And Squirrels scurrying up trees. The soft gentle breeze On a hot summer day Or a roaring fire In the middle of winter. So many gifts Sent from Father God Above. Endless blessings And His Never ending Love. by Patricia Adderley
Conclusion
The most important gifts are those that you can’t buy or sell. They are the ones that come from the heart. They are the gifts from above- from God.
