My prayers go out to Erika Kirk. I am inspired by the legacy of Charlie Kirk as well as by Erika Kirk and her witness for the Lord in the midst of the extreme grief that she must be feeling at this time.

Furthermore, I am saddened by the state of violence in our nation today. We used to be able to debate and talk about our differences civilly but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

The Witness of Charlie Kirk

Many people disagreed with the message Charlie Kirk preached about God, nation and family. But, Charlie didn’t let that stop Him. He knew who he was and what God had called Him to do. And, He did it in spite of the opposing viewpoints.

He did not let the crowds dissuade him from what He knew to be true. The same is true for Jesus. It says in Luke that Jesus come to bring peace, but division. Jesus spoke was true also and faced all kinds opposition from the religious and political leaders as well. 

Charlie Kirk spoke about truth and many disagree with him but he was always willing to listen, to debate and made a huge difference in the lives of young people.

We can’t let the fear of what other people think get in the way of the truth. Sometimes, we have to stand strong and be bold. We all have a purpose to which God has called us.

We need to listen to Him and let Him lead as well as trust that He will see us through anything He has called us to. 

Inspired By Erika Kirk’s Faith

As I listened to the speech by Ericka Kirk so soon after Charlie was assassinated, I was inspired by and stood in awe at her strength, poise, and witness to the gospel and I can only hope that I would be as strong and faith-filled as she was.

Here she is having just lost her husband and father of two young kids and she is witnessing to the Lord.  She chose to hold on to her faith and her Lord all the while she was holding back tears of grief and loss.

We All Have A Choice

We all have that same choice. Life isn’t always fair and we can choose to be filled with anger and bitterness or we can release it to God knowing that He is a just and holy God and has all things in control even when we can’t see it or understand it. 

We can also choose to be a light to the people around us just like Charlie Kirk did. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. However, he also listened to those with different opinions. We have that same choice.  

I firmly believe that we are in the last days and that time is short.  

What will you do with the time you have?  

Will you be a light or hide in the darkness?

Will you forgive or will you harbor bitterness and hate?  

Will you embrace who God created you to be and step out in faith or will you retreat in fear?

Be A Light

I encourage you to be a light, step out in faith and trust God to catch you.

He can handle your pain and your grief. He can handle your anger. He loves you unconditionally and will never let you go. Be fully His and trust in who He created you to be just as Charlie Kirk and Ericka Kirk have done.

Maybe someone will be inspired by your witness for Christ as well.
